What is the referral code and where would have I received it?
You only need a referral code if someone else told you about the Pet Living Wills service provided at www.PetLivingWills.com. If you found us on your own, then there is no need for a referral code.
A referral code is a serial number that would have been given to you if someone told you about the Pet Living Wills service. So, if your friends or family told you about www.PetLivingWills.com in an e-mail, they probably remembered to tell you their own referral code (it should have been included automatically in the e-mail they sent you). If your veterinarian or pet care giver told you about www.PetLivingWills.com, they should also have told you about a referral code.
Even without a referral code, it is just fine to proceed and register for a Pet Living Will at www.PetLivingWills.com
What is the benefit of a Pet Living Will from a vet's perspective?
A Pet Living Will is of enormous benefit to a veterinarian. There are many occasions where, for whatever reason (travel, illness, work) a pet owner is not able to be at the vets when their pet needs medical treatment. In these situations, a veterinarian can access your Pet Living Will from www.PetLivingWills.com to find out your wishes for your pets. For the spouse, friend, or pet care giver who had to take the pet to the veterinarian, there is peace of mind in knowing that you made the decision for your pet's care in advance of need.

Am I able to start the Pet Living will form process and continue it later?
Absolutely! We've made sure that you can take the time you need to consider what sort of care you'd like for your pet should you not be available to make the decisions. On every page you can hit the "save" button at the bottom. Next time you come back to www.PetLivingWills.com you log-in (at the top left of the screen) using your e-mail address and password, and you'll be taken right back to where you left off.
Remember, you can change your Pet Living Will at anytime, and the changes are kept up to date inside our secure database on our web site. To change your Pet Living Will, just go to www.PetLivingWills.com, log-in using your e-mail address and password, and select "Change Pet Info" from the options at the top left of the screen.

How can I alert others that my pet has a Pet Living Will?
Your welcome pack, which will come in the mail, contains four Pet Living Will ID cards, with your name and Pet Living Will ID number (so that your veterinarian or pet care giver can access your pet's Pet Living Will). You should give one of these ID cards to your pet care giver, one to your veterinarian, and keep one on the fridge, or in some other location that a pet care giver can access. Even if you don't have a spare Pet Living Will ID card you simply need to provide them with your Pet Living Will ID code and our website address www.PetLivingWills.com.
Can I change my information?
Yes! Anytime. One of the benefits of having a Pet Living Will stored at www.PetLivingWills.com is that not only does your veterinarian or pet care giver have access to your Pet Living Will anytime, but also you can change your Pet Living Will at anytime. That way, your Pet Living Will reflects your most recent wishes for your pet.
To change your Pet Living Will, just go to www.PetLivingWills.com, log-in using your e-mail address and password, and select "Change Pet Info" from the options at the top left of the screen.
How do I cancel my membership?
We stand by our motto: Peace of mind for pet lovers. We are confident in the service we provide. Yet we hope you never have to use it. Should you decide that signing up with Pet Living Wills wasn't for you, we are happy to give you two weeks (14 days) from the time you signed-up to change your mind. During this two week trial period, you may cancel your Pet Living Will for any reason at all, and we will fully refund your money.
Can someone else register for me over the phone?
Since the decisions that are to be made during registering require accurate capture and verification of medical treatment requirements for your pet, we've found that it's best not to register over the phone, so we do not offer this service. If you're uncomfortable with completing the registration process via the internet we suggest that you ask a friend or a family member to assist you.
How do I become a Pet Living Wills partner?
If you are a provider of products and services to pets and pet owners you are eligible to become a Pet Living Wills Partner promoting peace of mind for pet lovers while also creating income for your clinical practice or pet related business.
Pet Living Wills partners can sign up their clients, and their client's pets, to the Pet Living Wills service and Pet Living Wills will pay a commission for each pet signed-up.
As a Pet Living Wills Partner, you receive a dedicated account and the ability to set up your employees as representatives with whom you can share the commission.

What happens if my veterinarian doesn't use the internet?
Since it is important that your wishes for your pet are communicated clearly and accurately, the best way for a veterinarian to access your Pet Living Will is via the internet. This way your veterinarian can print off the medical care details page, and have a record of your wishes right at hand.
In the event that your veterinarian does not use the internet, or for some reason is at a location where there is no internet access, you should have your veterinarian call our toll-free number: 1-800-531-8963. We have trained personal standing by 24 hours a day 365 days a year who will take your Pet Living Will ID number, and provide the veterinarian with the relevant medical care details for your pet. We are truly trying to provide peace of mind for pet lovers.
What do I do if I lose my internet connection while I am in the process of registering?
Fortunately, all the information you've entered to date in your process of registering will have been saved. You will likely only lose the information on the page you were on when the internet connection went down.
In order to keep the costs of a Pet Living Will as low as possible for you, we do not take checks or money orders. Our online credit card processing system is the safest in the industry. We use a secure third party credit card processor and do not store any of your credit card information here at Pet Living Wills.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes! When you sign up more than one of your pets you receive a 20% loyalty discount, which means that each additional pet will beyond the first one is $39.
If you refer your friends and family you can also receive either a credit to your annual subscription renewal, a check at the end of the year (subject to hitting a minimum referral amount), or you can donate your referral earnings to a Pet Charity of your choosing from our list. Further details will be provided to you when you have become a Pet Living Wills member
How long until my pet is registered?
Your initial subscription fee registers your pet from the day you sign up for a full year. Before the year is up, we will send you an e-mail reminding you to renew your subscription.
What if I move residences?
The great thing about your Pet Living Will is that it is stored securely in our www.PetLivingWills.com database for access anywhere there is an internet connection! Should you move, you will likely change your veterinarian and your pet care givers. If this is the case, you should make sure that your new veterinarian and new pet care givers have your Pet Living Will card. You can always print another copy of your card to give to your veterinarian and pet care givers by logging into your account and selecting the "Print Membership Card" button.
What animals or pets can have a Pet Living Will?
All pets can (and should) have a Pet Living Will. The Pet Living Will sign-up process at www.PetLivingWills.com allows you to sign up any type of pet.
